Cheese, chocolate and watches are all products that have been mastered by the Swiss due to their attention to detail, care and finesse. Standing at a staggering 6’5″ Patrick’s veins pump the blood of Swiss perfection through his body and into the craft of Barbering. Pat joined us after honing his trade at the prestigious London School of Barbering where he too, received a “Distinction” in the NVQ Level 2 Diploma of Barbering.

When Pat became a barber, his goal was to one day work at Benicky and Sons Barbershop; not only because the fit out of the shop is like going back in time, but because the quality of workmanship and service is a cut above the rest. Patrick prides himself on making sure that his clients walk out of his chair with the haircut that they’ve always wanted and the knowledge to recreate that style at home, so that they can look 10/10 every day and not only on the day they visit.

William Wallace Schuetz (Billy)

Young, enthusiastic and passionate are definitely 3 things you think about when you meet Mr. Billy Schuetz. He always comes into the barbershop making clients laugh and feel comfortable. Achieving a distinction in both level 2 diploma in barbering and London School of Barbering shaving course, Billy is constantly seeking new ways to improve his skills and techniques, which makes him well ahead of the game in all areas of barbering.

It was always a goal for Billy to work at Benicky & Sons, not only as an excellent hair sweeper but also as a damn good barber. Billy constantly makes new clients and workers feel comfortable and welcome in the shop.

Billy doesn’t treat his job as just “cutting hair”, but as artfully crafted individual works. He may be one of the younger lads, but the Benicky & Sons standard of quality is always surpassed.

Dylan James Smith

Beards, tattoos and catchphrases are all commonly associated with the beautiful specimen known as Dylan. Northern Beaches born and raised, Dylan is a big ol’ nerd with a love for technical arts and making people’s days brighter, two passions which led him to become a barber.

Dylan originally planned to follow in the footsteps of his mentors and attend the London School of Barbering, that is until Covid came along. Not to be detered though, Dylan forged ahead and quickly found his path. Trained in house by the talented Benicky barbers, Dylan has exploded onto the scene and quickly come into his own as a skilled barber.

Whether sweeping hair, folding towels or delivering quality cuts, Dylan brings care, focus and passion to all he does. His skill and hospitality will be enough to make sure all his clients have a great one!

Aidan Daley

Passion, detailed knowledge of the craft and a hunger to improve his skill set is what has gotten Aidan to where he is today – don’t forget his wild and woolly hair. Born and raised on the northern beaches, Aidan is a sucker for the beach, poker, snowboarding and quite clearly, hair. A thrill seeking man, Aidan spends his winters in the snow and the summer on the water.

Aidan was completely sold on becoming a barber purely from his own experiences of getting haircuts in a barbershop. The moment he set foot in Benicky and Sons he knew he was in the right place to learn – from sweeping hair to folding towels and shaving necks, to now cutting hair full time.

With 4+ years in the industry learning from some of the best in the game, from hair expos to countless courses. His attention to detail and passion for his craft will ensure that you leave feeling your best.

Brazilian Trained / Brazilian Blood

Nicolas Almeida de Oliveira

An exotic addition to the Benicky and Sons family from the sunny beaches of South Brazil, Nicolas arrived on our shores in 2018 bringing with him two suitcases, experience and a unique set of skills seeking adventure and opportunity.

Barbering was a family business and his late grandfather’s passion for a great customer experience was passed down through the bloodline. Nicolas believes that his work is more than cutting hair. It is art. Art that is with you during your most important moments in life. His attention to detail and dedication to his craft will ensure that you leave his chair feeling your best.

He is a musician, budding surfer and conversationalist who’s tongue-in-cheek personality will ensure you have a laugh with an anecdote or two. His experience with a straight razor will make you feel so relaxed you will feel like you’ve spent a week in the Whitsundays. Some consider him the Brazilian Sweeney Todd, only he “promises” you won’t end up in a pie.

Luke John Coleman Benicky

Raised with an immense passion for life, people, music, sport and fashion, Luke does what he loves and follows wherever it may lead him. This passion has made him a well sharpened weapon in the barbering world, ready to change the way men’s hair is viewed, and rejuvenating the once thriving and esteemed barbering industry.

The first in his class to complete a course at one of the world’s most prestigious Barbering schools – The London School of Barbering, England, Luke received a “Distinction” in the barbering and shaving courses and accomplished a VTCT Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Barbering. Hungry for knowledge, Luke is constantly exploring ways of expanding his already impressive skill set.

From pompadour’s so tall they reach the heavens, to scissor slinging textured cuts and hot towel shaves with a straight razor leaving you smoother than the day you were born, nothing is too great a challenge. Utilising the science behind hair to figure out what works for your head shape, hair type and lifestyle, Luke achieves a perfectly tailored and personalised look.

Blake Michael Alexander Zipevski

This Hungarian Hunk has a love for style, fashion and fitness. You’ll hear his laugh from 3 miles away and he isn’t shy about sharing his stories from the football pitch.

As a once loyal client to the shop, Blake slowly became more and more interested in the industry and over time has developed a burning desire to in-still confidence into his clients through hair, creativity and passion.

Blake views his job not only as cutting hair, but as the gateway to unlocking a happier and more confident self.

With a desire to one day be leading the industry from the front, this competitive and hungry young man will leave you feeling like you can conquer the world.
